Maddox of Dallas, was stopped in traffic on the exit ramp waiting to turn left onto South Cobb Drive for "reasons unknown" when the driver of a black 2012 Chevrolet Cruze struck the vehicle from behind.
After hitting the crane truck, the driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 42-year-old Sylvester Johnson of Buford, rolled backwards down the ramp towards the southbound flow of I-285 traffic.
