SMYRNA — An apartment fire early Friday morning resulted in one resident being taken to the hospital for chest pains, Cobb Fire Lt. Dan Dupree said.
Crews were dispatched at 5:25 a.m. to the fire at the Charter Square Apartments, 2001 Old Concord Road. The two-story building contained 10 apartments, and fire was showing from the front of two apartments when crews arrived. It took just 10 minutes for the blaze to be extinguished, Dupree said, and all residents were out of the units when crews arrived.
The cause is under investigation.
