The lines have not abated for early voting in Cobb. Through Tuesday, 9,735 Cobb voters had cast ballots during in-person advance voting, which began Oct. 15.

The main elections office, at 736 Whitlock Ave. in Marietta, is open for advance voting Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Nov. 2.

Today, Friday and all next week, advance voting can also be done at the Cobb Civic Center, 548 S. Marietta Parkway, in Marietta, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Both locations will be open for voting on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Early voting will continue next week at seven more locations, in addition to the main office and the Civic Center. Those are the East Cobb Government Service Center; Noonday Baptist Church, on Canton Road; the Smyrna Community Center; NorthStar Church in Kennesaw; the Boots Ward Recreation Center in Powder Springs; the South Cobb Community Center in Mableton; and the South Cobb Recreation Center in Austell.

It appears that the dictatorial Republicans out to suppress potential Democratic voters in Cobb County have partially succeeded through voter ID and limits to advance voting scams. Hopefully, it won't work.
