Update: The police have identified the victim as Mrs. Margaret Kehrt of Dallas, Georgia.
ACWORTH - Acworth Police are heralding two city police for helping save a woman’s life. Capt. Mark Cheatham said that on Monday afternoon, Acworth Officer Russell Mines was at the QuikTrip at 3888 Cobb Parkway refueling his patrol car when he saw an elderly woman lying in the parking lot unconscious.
He notified dispatch and ran to retrieve a medical bag when Acworth Police Corporal Luke Reynolds arrived and found the woman being tended to by William Zorn of Watkinsville, an emergency room doctor. They could not find a pulse and Reynolds began giving mouth-tomouth while Zorn began chest compressions.
After a few minutes, the woman, 74, regained consciousness. She was then taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital for treatment.
