WSB Radio reports that the trial of Richard Ringold is expected to begin Friday in Gwinnett County’s first death penalty trial since 2005.
Ringold has pleaded not guilty and has said he was playing video games with friends at the time of the August 2009 killings.
Gwinnett County police accuse Ringold of fatally shooting two women, a man and an 11-year-old girl. Police said at the time that Ringold lived at the house and was the boyfriend of one of the women killed.
Authorities say another woman who escaped the house before being shot is expected to testify at the trial.
