WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan is aggressively criticizing President Barack Obama's foreign policy leadership and says the U.S. needs "moral clarity and firmness of purpose."
The Wisconsin congressman says Obama has treated U.S. ally Israel with, in his words, "indifference bordering on contempt."
Ryan spoke to a gathering of religious conservatives in Washington on Friday.
In recent days, protesters have attacked U.S. diplomatic outposts in Libya, Egypt and Yemen. Ryan says the U.S. must exercise its influence to prevent problems from turning into crises and that a Romney administration would act more confidently than Obama has.
Ryan also says Republicans will stand up for religious freedom in ways that Obama has not.

Saleem also stated, "President Obama is reciting Islamic prayers when we think he is pledging allegiance to the American flag".
The people who cheered have the right to vote, that in and of itself is very disturbing.
I guess I know which administration has actually produced a change in the Middle East at the least cost in the lives of our people.
Democracy will not come easily to Islamic countries. It isn't smooth in Iraq after all these years. I don't think it will be smooth in Libya, Eqypt, Yemen, or any other country that does not have a tradition of secular law and order. But it is their best chance for peace - and ours.
