Greg Poole

Age: 52

Occupation: Judge, Cobb County Juvenile Court

Education: Marietta Hight School, 1978; Presbyterian College, B.A., 1982; Cumberland School of Law of Samford Univ., J.D. 1985.

Family: Married to Lucia Poole, teacher at Harrison High School. Five children: Alan (25), Robert (21); Zachary (17); Mary Brittain (14); and Jacob (12).

Why should voters elect you as judge of the Cobb Superior Court?

For over 9 years I have been a Juvenile Court judge, presiding over serious cases involving families and children. I also serve one week every month in as an Assisting Superior Court judge, hearing all types of cases in that court. My experi-ence and background make me the most qualified candidate.

Is there a particular philosophy you would follow in making decisions?

A judge should work to move cases expeditiously while preserving the rights of all parties, including victims; be fair and impartial in applying the law to the facts; and never legislate from the bench.
