SMYRNA, Ga. (AP) — A plastic surgeon and his office staff came to the aid of a landscaper who nearly sliced off his arm with a power tool and nearly collapsed in a pool of blood in front of the doctor's building in Smyrna.
Filiberto Huaracha, tells WSB-TV that the saw of a stone grinder ripped through his arm, nearly slicing it in two.
Huaracha says he began running, spotted a sign for a doctor's office about 500 yards away, and made it to the front walk of Dr. Keith Jeffords.
Jeffords said his staff and even his patients helped in the rescue effort.
Huaracha said Tuesday that surgeons at Grady Memorial Hospital were able to save his arm. He believes he probably would have died had it not been for Jeffords and others who helped.

Was he working for a company at the time of the accident?
Did they have insurance?
Will the surgeons bill & hospital bill at Grady be paid by insurance, workers comp., a homeowners insurance policy, or by us , the taxpayers?
This is a legitimate question that the newspaper should research.
Some of understand fully what 'on the backs of taxpayers' means!
Let's say he does not have insurance--should we, the taxpayers, let him die?
His legal status and his insurance status are not the business of the news to report. If he were white, nobody would be asking these questions.
That is the essence of racial profiling.
If he is here legally (no reason to think otherwise), at least Obamacare will force him to obtain insurance in the future and/or give his employer an incentive to provide insurance.
Wish America would grow a set, racial profile & protect it's citizens.
What ya gonna do, when our country collapses? Racial profiling will be the least of all our worries, you'll soon see.

Latinos are Americans, my friend. Many of them were in the west long before the United States even existed.
The census data is 100% clear, within the next 20 years, the US will no longer be majority white. People need to accept this inevitable reality and realize that minorities are Americans, too. The US immigrant fabric is what makes us strong.
The Latinos in my community are hardworking, family-oriented, and amiable. They are a welcome part of my neighborhood.
The majority of Latinos are in this country legally, don't forget that. I agree we need to secure our borders, but don't let your prejudice allow you to discriminate against your fellow Americans.

This guy didn't break any laws by seeking help from a nearby doctor. I commend the doctor for being such a good samaritan!
