* The City of Marietta is hosting its annual Fourth of July celebration with the Fourth in the Park event from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. at Glover Park in Marietta Square.
* Marietta First United Methodist Church will be hosting The Great American Family Picnic for July 4 at the Park on Polk. The event will last from 5:30 until 10:30 p.m. The Great American Family Picnic will include food from Williamson Brothers BBQ and will host picnic-style games as well as face painting. Powder Springs:
The city of Powder Springs is hosting its 17th annual Independence Day celebration from 4 until 10 p.m. The event is sponsored by the city of Powder Springs as well as Superior Plumbing and will take place at the Powder Springs Town Square in downtown Powder Springs. Admission is free, and there will be more than 15 food vendors. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets to enjoy fireworks and live entertainment. (770) 423-1330.
Acworth:
The City of Acworth and the Acworth Business Association are set to host their July 4 extravaganza today. The celebration will take place at Cauble Park, where there will be live music performed by the Paul Hand Band beginning at 4 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. Freedom Church of Acworth is working with the Acworth Business Association and is asking those who attend to bring canned goods for donation to local food pantries.
