I know that the default response to anything involving taxes in today's TEA Party influenced climate is generally 'No' - especially to the uninformed or ill-informed - but this is an tax issue that will put the tax dollars back into the community from whence it came. Do yourself and your neighbors a favor by taking the time to really look into this before rejecting it out-of-hand. This is not a political slush fund. These are dedicated dollars. It's not an idea that we always have the opportunity to embrace.

More of the same... Let me raise your taxes!!! Without telling the public for what... There is no plan for the projected revenue, until after the vote!

You obviously have an internet connection and a computer because you are here making comment. Take those tools and use them to find out that there is indeed a plan. In fact there is a complete list of projects you can look at in detail.

I don't think that there would be public support for the expense of publishing how every single every single tax dollar is spent - however, it does not mean that the information is not available. It is - if you care to research it.

I have read the complete list and have decided to vote no.

1. The Beltline is a cool project, not regional

2. Paying for reestablishing Clayton County bus service? So you are telling me that Fulton, Dekalb, Cobb, and Gwinnett have pay for our own local bus service and Clayton's! They should pay for their local service like everyone else.

3. Our own ill defined bus-light rail Lee DiMassimo line on a corridor without congestion.

It would be better to see that politicians in Georgia are a bunch of good ole boy corrupt thieves that want our money for their pleasure.

Don't bother w/ the ad nauseum meeting,..

stay home & take it easy,... then vote absolutely NOT.

Then vote Mike Boyce for chairman. He wants to rein in the SPLOST waste!

Mary,

Just when do you plan to finally do us and yourself a favor and move to another community?

Just move already.

It would be better to attend the meeting, find out information upon which to make an informed decision, and then decide how you will vote.

Vote NO!

Tim raised your taxes. Boot him out too.

Tim made the hard choice and kept your libraries, parks open and fire and emergency services personel on the job. He made the tough decision to balance the budget and keep the level of services Cobb residents and homeowners have come to expect. I bet if you look at your home assessment you might actually see you are paying the same or less than you did before.
