Barton and the posts below fail to address my central argument, that West told his constituents - and this is on videotape - that he knows of 78 to 81 Communist Party members in Congress. This is a bald faced lie. Why would he tell it? I speculated in my original op-ed that he has nothing else to offer voters because he's done nothing in Congress.

As for what the tea party yearns for, I merely repeat what I've heard from Freedomworks, the front group that created this phony "movement" five minutes after Obama took office. You want to go back to the time when people wore tricorn hats and freedom was reserved for a select few. Read your history.

West said he also threatened to kill Hamoody. Military prosecutors say West followed up on that threat by taking the suspect outside, put him on the ground near a weapons clearing barrel and fired his 9 mm pistol into the barrel.

West was the victim of trumped up false charges in the incident you mention. He was falsely accused by a civilian left wing nut case who was envious of West. West was found completely innocent of all allegations. Of course, all the far left wing radical web sites, like Daily Kos, fail to report the fact that West was found completely innocent of all the trumped up charges. So typical of the left, never to report the whole story. Playing foot loose and fancy free with the facts, aren't you Cravin? As a suggestion Mr Moorehead, you should avoid limiting your sources of news to extremist radical publications such as The Daily Kos Kids and the Huffington Puffington Post. Publications such as these report news from biased left-wing sources, such as MSNBC. Better that you get your news from truthful middle-of-the road fair and balanced sources, such as Fox News.

The fact is that West was drummed out of the service in the face of being charged and being sent to prison. Did you notice that he now wares civilian clothes? Can't you republicans ever own up and take responsibility?

The claim that you made stating that the charges were trumped up don't hold water, and YOU made that up. The thing that republicans hate most are facts.

Colonel west is now RETIRED from the military, which is why he no longer wears a uniform. Drummed out? What is that? No such legal remedy exists in the U.S. military. You are in denial mr cravin. People like you on the radical left can never seem to comprehend our American military. Colonel West was exonerated of all the false charges brought against him. He then won an overwhelming victory election to Congress, which served to further enrage his left-wing detractors. The one thing that liberals despise are black Americans who do not need government assistance to be successful. Colonel West embodies a self made successful man. YOU need to do YOUR homework - as you obviously haven't got a clue.

LTC West did not 'leave the Army to avoid a court-martial'. THe Army reduced the incident to an Article 15 proceeding (known as Non-Judicial Punishment) where West was found to have violated Articles 128 & 134. However, he was NOT convicted of anything, or else he would not have been allowed o retire. A conviction would have stripped him of any/all benefits.

Of course, you'll respond that it was an Army cover-up (ha ha!)

Your continuous use of inflammatory and denigrating name-calling only shows that you get your 'talking points' from the left-leaning media and cannot form your own thoughts.
