According to Officer Mike Bowman with Cobb Police, an unknown perpetrator shot and killed Samuel Wilkins, 20, of Austell, behind building J in the Riverside Townhomes Complex on Twin Hill Road.
The call came in at 10:26 p.m. Tuesday and officers were on the scene at 10:28 p.m.
“(Officers) were dispatched to a person shot but we don’t know who the caller was … we really don’t know anything else at this point,” Bowman said. “An officer got on the scene and found a male behind building and unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound.”
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'10", possibly in his late teens or early 20s with a thin build. Anyone with information is asked to call 770) 499 - 3945.
