Before kickoff tonight, get up to speed with all the action by joining host Katy Ruth Camp for the midweek Cobb Football Friday webcast. A dozen teams from Cobb have advanced to this year's postseason, the most in county history. Will we be seeing some of Cobb's finest in the Georgia Dome soon?
*We head to Pope for our Region Championship Game of the Week! The 9-1Greyhounds host the 8-2 Mays Raiders in their first home playoff game since the 2000 season. The odds are definitely in Pope's favor; in six tries, the Raiders have never won a playoff game on the road.
*Sprayberry travels to No. 1 Tucker, the first match-up between the two schools. It will be a tough night for the 5-5 Yellow Jackets; Tucker averages 48 points a game and just completed its second straight undefeated regular season.
*The 8-2 Kell Longhorns take on the No.4 Marist War Eagles in a game that will be televised on GPB. Marist has won 28 straight home playoff games and has not missed the postseason since 1982. If the Longhorns want to pull the upset, they need to build big first quarter leads, something they have been able to do frequently this season.
*Allatoona heads into the postseason with a 10-0 record. They have the opportunity to win their first playoff game in team history when they host 6-4 Franklin County. Odds are definitely in the Buccaneers' favor.
*Playing their first home playoff game, the 10-0 Hillgrove Hawks host the 5-5 Beach Bulldogs from Savannah. Fresh off their first region championship, the Hawks look like they're poised for a good night.
