Better Business Bureau recommends taking action to prevent online banking fraud

ATLANTA — The Better Business Bureau has released recommendations to business owners to help protect their privacy and assets when banking online.

The recommendations include initiating a “dual control” payment process with your bank and employees to ensure that all payments are initiated from your bank accounts only after the authorization of two employees; having dedicated workstations and restrict the use of certain workstations and laptops to be utilized solely for online banking and payments, if possible; using robust authentication methods and vendors; updating virus protection and security software; and monitoring and reconciling accounts daily against expected credits and withdrawals.

Store formerly known as 'Due Maternity' is now ‘Bellyhaven’

VININGS — Due Maternity, which opened in 2005, has reopened with a new name, Bellyhaven, and an expanded store.

The store sells maternity and nursing wear, and the space at 4300 Paces Ferry Road, Suite 476, has been renovated and expanded to support daily education and fitness classes. Some partnerships have been formed between the shop and class providers, including Lumina Birth, Oh Baby Fitness and Rest Assured Infant Nursing. Some of the class topics include breastfeeding, childbirth education, infant CPR, baby basics, massage, mom and baby fitness and music and sign language.

Classes are for mothers and infants to 4-year-olds and start at $5 per session.

Bellyhaven is run by Heather Paradice, the owner of Due Maternity since 2005, and Lacy Henderson, co-owner of Lumina Birth and a birth doula since 2008.
