SMYRNA — Smyrna police have made a second arrest in the July 26 shooting death of 55-year-old Warran Broadnax at a Smyrna apartment complex, police reported Wednesday.

Jelani Asim Anthony, 35, of Smyrna was arrested early Tuesday. Anthony, along with Eric Nelson Scales, 29, of New York, who was arrested on Aug. 3, have each been charged with murder. They are being held at the Cobb County Jail.

Broadnax was found shot multiple times in the parking lot of Wyncliff Apartments, 2350 Cobb Parkway SE, near Loehmanns Plaza shopping center. Police said he was homeless and lived in his car at the complex.
