From the briefcase: Georgia Work Ready to help job seekers

MARIETTA — Representatives from Georgia Work Ready will be at the Marietta Chattahoochee Technical College campus Aug. 15 to listen to local concerns about job applicants.

The town hall is part a listening tour to help create a “soft-skills” curriculum, which would teach students about such non-vocational aspects of work as punctuality, proper dress and interpersonal relationships.

The meeting be on the school’s campus, 980 South Cobb Drive in Marietta, and will start run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Business leaders, school representatives and government officials are expected to attend.
