Shortly after 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, police received a 911 call alerting them that three men were armed and attempting to rob a couple in the parking lot at the apartment complex, Marietta Police Officer Jenny Murphy said. Both Marietta and Cobb police responded to the scene.
According to police, the suspects forced a man and a woman into their apartment at gunpoint. When Marietta Police arrived they made contact with one of the armed suspects, who had taken a hostage. When the suspect refused to put down his weapon as instructed by police, an officer shot and killed him, Murphy said.
Police arrested the two other suspects, and neither of the victims was injured, Murphy said. They are not yet releasing the names of any of the suspects or victims and Murphy said the investigation was ongoing.
The Marietta Police officer has been placed on administrative leave pending the investigation, which Murphy said is typical procedure.

And To My family... see my above comment. Nobody is perfect???? Those low lifes could have killed the innocent couple they were robbing!!!! But we are supposed to sit back and thin, "oh well.. nobody is perfect.. let's just let everyone behave however the won't too. Robbing someone at gunpoint is no big deal." You are an idiot.
