Stephanie Wolf and Hank Petree of Charleston, S.C., married April 9 at an outdoor ceremony facing the gates and the Avenue of the Oaks at Boone Hall Plantation in Charleston. Stephanie and Hank met four years ago at Blackbaud, a software sales company in Charleston. Later in conversation, they discovered they both lived in Lee’s Crossing and both attended A.L. Burruss Elementary in Marietta as children, and both graduated from the University of Georgia.

Family and friends from Cobb County and the Atlanta area attended the wedding and reception that followed at The Cotton Dock on the Wando River that was transformed by hanging lanterns, and spring floral arrangements of cherry blossom branches, yellow forsythia, blue and white hydrangeas and pink and yellow ranunculus. Charleston Lowcountry cuisine was served, including She-crab soup, fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, crabcakes and Arnold Palmer drinks in jars. The rehearsal dinner and welcoming party was held at McCrady’s Restaurant.

Bridesmaids, who wore different wedding theme shades of blue, included Jenna Wolf Smith (sister of the bride/matron of honor), Laurie Petree McLaughlin (sister of the groom), Jennifer Alt and Elizabeth Carlisle. Groomsmen included Henry Petree (father of the groom/best man), Warren Hirons, Josh Mathis and Andrew McClendon.

Stephanie is the daughter of Diane and Phil Wolf of Kennesaw. Hank is the son of Henry Petree of Marietta and Debbie Petree of Jacksonville, Fla.

Fashion spotlight of the week: A former ballerina at Ruth Mitchell Dance Theatre, Atlanta Ballet, and Atlantic Southeast Ballet, Stephanie Wolf Petree wore a silk trumpet-style strapless wedding dress, accented with a brooch and white feather at the bodice — no one prettier than the bride on her wedding day.

Sally Litchfield is a longtime Marietta resident. She formerly practiced law in Marietta and now stays home to raise her two children. Send Sally news at Call Sally at (770) 425-7122.
