Marietta Police Officer Jenny Murphy said a third roommate in the apartment initially called 911 just before 8 p.m. after witnessing the stabbing. When officers arrived, they found a 23-year-old man inside with multiple stab wounds, according to police. The man, whose name was not released by press time pending family notification, was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect in the stabbing, 35-year-old Jose Ricardo Zelaya Orellano, fled in the freezing cold in blue jeans, a t-shirt and no shoes before officers arrived, Murphy said. She said a resident in a nearby home on Lake Drive called 911 after Orellano started banging on that person's back door. The resident of the nearby home did not know Orellano and it appears Orellano was merely trying to get out of the cold, Murphy said.
Officers, who were already searching the area, responded to the second 911 call and arrested Orellano, police said. Orellano was still being treated for hypothermia late Tuesday and will be booked into Cobb Jail without bond once he is released, Murphy said.
Orellano, who needed an interpreter during questioning, is charged with murder, aggravated assault with the intent to murder, and possession of a knife during the commission of a felony, Murphy said.

Georgia is known to have more illegals than even Arizona! The news has been full of criminal activity by illegals, for years now!! Just because you support 'illegal' immigration, doesn't mean these crimes are not happening. Illegals are coming from cultures where criminal activity is just more 'the norm'! Uh,... Mexico's drug war is recruiting 10 year olds to do their dirty work! You know that the Somali pirates are going to be desperate for that kind of work,... that pays well! And they are making their way to Mexico, as we speak! With our borders still wide open, won't be long til we have 'pirates' as neighbors!!! Really, people, just wake up & try to stand together, w/ your fellow Americans!
The third roommate needs to be deported as well. Now the taxpayers have to pay for his medical care as well as incarceration. We are sick of this mayhem encouraged by treasonous businesses, the Chamber of Commerce and open borders crazies.
Demand that Mexico and other Latin American countries take care of their people instead of encouraging them to come here to plunder and steal.
