Lt. Colonel, Charles Conrad Dedecker, 89, died Friday, June 14th, 2013, at his home. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Arlene; children, Judith (and Robert) MacPhail, Elaine (and Donald) Hessong, April (and Michael) Branz, and Thomas (and Robin) Dedecker. In addition, he had 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ellen Claire Dedecker. Charles served for 30 years in the United States Air Force and saw action in World War – II, Korea, and in Vietnam. He had strong faith in God, his family and friends. Full military honors will be presented in honor of Mr. Decker’s service to our country, and a memorial service celebrating Charles’s life will be held at 11:00 o’clock, Saturday, June 22nd, 2013, at Faith Lutheran Church, 2111 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, GA, 30068. The family will receive friends at a reception following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Charles’s memory can be made to The Little Lambs Fund; Care of Faith Lutheran Church.

Mr. Walter Eric Cotton, age 54, of Kennesaw passed away June 15, 2013. He was a Lead Finance Tech for Dobbins Air Reserve Base and was a member of the North Georgia Umpire Association having worked with Cobb and Cherokee County Recreation Departments, also the City of Acworth Recreation Department and with the Dobbins base Recreation Department. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Lori Cotton; children Alesha, Christopher, Eric and Jessica; six grandchildren; brother, Roderick Cotton; sister, Sharon Cotton; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday June 22 at 11 AM in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at a later date in Pine Ridge Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends between the hours of 9 until 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
