Despite the fact that I am ideologically opposed to the very progressive ethos of Ben and Jerry's, I have just finished licking the ice cream off my spoon because those boys with the cows in their ad campaigns sure know how to dish up Cookie Dough; they have every right in a free country to have political views that don't gel with mine, and as long as they put out a good product, I'll buy it. (Yummm... Ice creammm....)
But hey! If I ever change my mind and decide to try and stop an ice cream parlor from opening in a city with a 9.8% unemployment rate because the multimillionaire founders say things I don't like, I can tell that guy who wants to feed his family--who needs the wages he might have earned in the store that never quite opens--to just shut up and eat cake. Or apply for food stamps. I have my principles at stake.
Makes total sense, right?
I love B&J's ice cream, also; and don't give one whit about their politics.
