Democratic convention officials announced President Obama's acceptance speech scheduled for tomorrow night at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte would be moved to the smaller Time Warner Arena due to the threat of thunder showers and lightening about the time the president would deliver his address.
 
Despite the verifiable weather forecast and the public safety considerations, Rush Limbaugh immediately snidely played the race card (as he always does with anything about Obama) saying Democrats couldn't fill "Black Panther Stadium" even though there was a ticket waiting list of 19,000 and free tickets to the speech were being sold on Craig's list for more than $200.
 
El Rushbo must have forgotten Mitt Romney's appearance before 1,200 supporters last February in Detroit's cavernous Ford Field.

Kevi: A glaring difference between the DNC and the RNC was the lack of diversity at the RNC. Mittens said, "The GOP is the party for all the people".

Really! I will remain very doubtful.

Absolutely! A larger crowd last February would have been great, but we were still in primary season!

Methinks we have an apple and orange comparing this to the... Democratic National Convention ;)

In other news, why were some (maybe half?) of the Dems booing the placement of "God" back into the platform?

It wasn't just Limbaugh, Kev. It was every conservative pundit in the country who tipped their hat to the fact the president's handlers seem to be living in 2008, when Obama could still fill a stadium with idiots who believed his lies and empty promises.

Now we get the spin about all the thousands who will be disappointed they're getting "shut out." What a bunch of bunk. Obama can't fill a stadium because even African Americans can see he hasn't done anything for them in the last four years. They can put on a big show, but 23 million people are still without work or career because of Obama's misplaced priorities, intentional or not.
