Stacie Ann Creel, 42, of Marietta is facing felony charges of theft by deception and exploitation of the elderly. According to a warrant, Creel entered a 91-year-old victim’s home at Oak Grove Manor posing as a Realtor. Once inside, she reportedly took a 5-carat diamond ring valued at $40,000 and a set of binoculars. She also is accused of stealing an emerald cluster ring valued at $1,500 from the same woman. She then deceived a gem cutter and sold one of the rings without the owner’s consent, according to the warrant.

Creel was arrested Oct. 8 and is being withheld bond, according to jail records.
