MARIETTA — Cobb County police arrested a Mableton woman Sept. 19 after authorities say she struck a child, leaving visible markings.

Zanethia Eubanks was charged with a felony count of child cruelty, with excessive physical or mental pain.

According to the warrant, Eubanks, who lives on Mt. Gerizim Road near the Chattahoochee River, used a plastic clothes hanger to strike a 9-year-old girl on the head, face, left arm and back.

Eubanks was arrested at the corner of Whitlock Avenue and Mountain View Road and was released the next day on a $10,000 bond.
