MARIETTA — Two Marietta teens were arrested last week in connection with a church vandalization on Lower Roswell Road in east Cobb.
Mark Cody Bray and Anne Marie Taylor, both 18, were arrested Dec. 18 on a felony charge of vandalizing a place of worship and misdemeanor possession of alcohol by a minor. Taylor was released the same day on a $5,000 bond, and Bray was released four days later on the same bond amount.
According to the warrant, an employee at Eastside Baptist Church saw the pair standing next to their van on the church grounds and approached them.
“Mr. Bray ran away, he returned several minutes later. The location where the accused were initially seen had the word ‘zombie’ spray painted across the window three to four feet high and five to six feet wide,” the warrant states.
“Several” cans of spray paint were found in the location where the suspects were reportedly standing and Bray told police, “This was on a dare and this was stupid.”
Police said they also found a half-empty bottle of wine in the van.
