Barrett Parkway Construction
New Traffic Signal Barrett Parkway. A new traffic signal is being installed at the intersection of Barrett Parkway and Village Greene/Stone Bridge Streets. The new signal is scheduled to begin flashing, Thursday, Jan. 31, and be in full operation, Monday, Feb. 4.
Northbound Barrett Parkway (Burnt Hickory Road to US 41). Expect daily periodic lane closures or delays from 9 a.m.-7 p.m., between Burnt Hickory Road and Cobb Parkway (US 41). One lane will remain open as the contractor performs grading operations, bridge construction, wall construction and storm drainage work.
Southbound Barrett Parkway (Cobb Place to Burnt Hickory Road). Expect periodic lane closures from 7 a.m.-4 p.m., between Cobb Place and Burnt Hickory Road with one lane remaining open as the contractor performs grading operations, wall construction and storm drainage work.
Lower Roswell Road Construction
Davidson Road to Willow Point Parkway. Expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. between Davidson Road and Willow Point Parkway with one lane remaining open while the contractor grades and installs storm drainage.
Willow Point Parkway to Timber Ridge Road. Also, expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. between Willow Point Parkway and Timber Ridge Road with one lane remaining open while the contractor grades, installs storm drainage and places concrete.
Shiloh Road/Shallowford Road
Wade Green Road to Canton Road. Expect intermittent lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with one lane remaining open at all times for your commute. The contractor will be installing new water main between Bells Ferry Rd and Canton Rd, and storm drainage between Busbee Parkway and Bells Ferry Road.
Floyd Road Construction
Floyd Road from Clay to Hicks Roads. Expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. with one lane remaining open as the contractor installs new water main, storm drainage and grading. All lanes will remain open during night work.
Pedestrian Access. Pedestrian traffic will also be affected as temporary sidewalks are constructed while old sidewalks are removed and new sidewalks are put in place along the east side of Floyd Rd. Additional traffic barrels and directional signage will assist pedestrians needing access to existing CCT bus stops on the west side of Floyd. All existing CCT bus stops will be maintained during construction. Pedestrian paths may be temporarily relocated during short-duration closures as construction continues. When needed, contractors may assist/escort pedestrians through the work zone.
