The week of Oct. 27, Lassiter High School Parent Teacher Student Association led its second “e” campaign. Lassiter PTSA created their own spin to the National Red Ribbon Week (the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention program) by coming up with the “e” campaign.
The red “e” symbolizes the importance of being ready to make good choices and avoiding drugs and alcohol. PTSA did a tremendous job communicating the importance of this campaign to the Lassiter school community.
To emphasize the importance of making good choices, families received daily emails with information about staying informed and involved in relation to drug and alcohol awareness. Posters were displayed all over the Lassiter campus highlighting the positive things that Lassiter students and families have accomplished. Each poster included the “e” designating the information as a good choice by a Lassiter student or staff member.
Lassiter students came out in full force that Friday night at the football game with a “RED OUT” to show their support of the campaign. Kudos to the Lassiter High PTSA for supporting Lassiter students and highlighting the importance of making good choices.
