Between April 3 and July 3, Jermaine Collins allegedly stole 492 bottles of wine, valued at $10,114, from Marietta-based Prestige Wine Wholesale and sold them to the owner of a DeKalb County liquor store, according to a warrant for his arrest.
Police said Collins confessed to the wine distributor and authorities.
Prestige Wine, a wine distributor that caters to restaurants and retail outlets in the state, did not return calls for comments.
Collins was arrested by Marietta Police on Aug. 17 on a felony theft by taking charge. He was booked into the Cobb County jail and released shortly thereafter on a $10,000 bond, according to jail records.
