Stunned by MDJ’s failure to report latest on Libya

DEAR EDITOR:

It is nothing less than stunning to read Thursday’s MDJ and find a total omission of even a reference to the Benghazi scandal/outrage. Here is the President of the United States and his top aides going out and stating, in public outright lies about the sorry, embarrassing and totally preventable events in Libya that resulted in four American deaths. A concatenation of lies spun solely for the purpose of propagating another great falsehood: that the elimination of Bin Laden has obliterated Al Qaeda, which it most certainly has not.

This story is, or certainly should be, bigger than Watergate, in that an American ambassador and three staff were killed grotesquely and needlessly in an administration’s sorry attempts to manage news and an election campaign. As Rush Limbaugh put it so well, this is like Watergate, except this time Woodward and Bernstein are on the other side, helping Nixon in the cover-up. And this time, the entire mainstream media are conspiring in the cover-up.

In my opinion, America is lost unless, at some point, the socialist, tyrannical, monolith that is the New York Times, AP, and all the major networks, is thoroughly investigated and ultimately broken up. Or at least exposed as what they are: a leftist, evil, conspiracy hell bent on total control of the government and The People.

Don't look now, but in today's paper...in the Cobb & State section (section B) on the very last page (page 6B) is a story about this. I promise you, it's the ONLY story out of 5 that does not even have a BOLDED headline. Seriously, the only one. It simply says, 'Administration rejects Libya attack claim'. That's it. Now make sure you find it at the very bottom of the page. Apparently they dispute the reports from Fox News...you know, the ones where they interviewed the grieving family members, and are as pleased as punch at the way they handled things. Unbelievable.

Did the MDJ find Foley under a cabbage leaf? He seems to be from another world, one who is constantly floating around in left field. Is there no way to get him to shut his mouth? Must we not only be inflicted with dem talking points in his columns, he must also provide us with his every thought? If or when he has an original thought, then he is welcome to express himself, but other than that, wish he would just stick to his column.

If Romney wasn't behind we would not be hearing these gripes. Ohio is the key and every poll shows it going to the Pres. Tough night in November for the Tea Party.

Fox News has no credibility among critical thinkers; therefore until real news organizations pick up the story, we will remain open to new information.

Benghazi 9-11: the day our military and diplomatic corps saw the Obama administration would hang them out to be sodomized and murdered if it was politically expedient to do so.

U.S. Media 10-26: Mr. Hagan is right. This was the date that journalists other than FOX news were exposed for what they've been doing for years -- blacking out any news that hurts their chosen candidate. Even when the deaths of good men are inolved.

MDJ, we expect better from you. Even if the AP ignores it, why can't you pick up the story from another source? When you know it's out there, when an organization like FOX News, (largest audience in the U.S.) breaks a story of this import, you should feel obligated to let readers know. I expect you might lose some subscriptions over this one if nothing is written.

I do wonder how you will publish the disgusting and inappropriate quote from Biden to the dead SEAL's family about his large anatomical parts. Leave it to Laughing Joe to be so hurtful with his big mouth. Those family members will never forget it, and if America knew, they would not vote for the inept and lying team of Obama/Biden.

@ S. Adams - Fox News is the propaganda arm of the GOP, not "journalists."

You aren't a consumer of MSM, so how do you know the MSM hasn't covered the Benghazi story, including all the nutty conspiracy theories Fox is desperately spinning no that Mittens is trailing in key swing states?

They all have, including the part about the House Republicans killing the funding for more emabassy security that Fox hasn't covered.

Mr. Hagan is correct!

Marietta parking and theatre issues pale in importance to Obama's Benghazi fiasco!

Harry, you might want to remove that tin foil hat you're wearing to keep the government from reading your mind. Your letter to the editor reads like a cry for help. You really should turn off FOX News, Rush Limbaugh and the other kooks blasting the paranoid propaganda and take a walk out in the fresh air.

Too much advice for Mr. Hagan, who is savvy and beyond your criticism. Regular readers know him to be a thoughtful man of many letters.

Your desperate comments reveal you as a hard corps liberal who knows his team has failed miserably and embarassed themselves in the process.

Good people, heroes, died on the anniversary of 9-11 because of the arrogance and incompetence of the current president. The truth will out, and I'm afraid, sir, you will want to crawl under your rock when it does. My regards to Mr. Hagan.

I, too was very surprised that no mention was made. Heaven knows that if there is any AP news about Obama, we get it on the front page, often above the fold. This Benghazi thing is not going away. Four men were killed without us lifting a hand to help them and to make things worse, Obama and his followers tried for a cover-up that didn't work. So the President and his minions lied and lied, day after day. In the meantime, never doubt that this truth will come out. And by the way, there is no comparison to this and Watergate!

You are correct no comparison between Benghazi and Watergate. In Benghazi 4people died after a seven hour fight with help a couple of hours away. Bless them and their family.

Mr. Hagan presumably expressed equal rage after the 10-year, $1 trillion debacle in Iraq that took the lives of 4,500 young men and women while enriching war profiteers.

As usual Foley has the same firm grip on the facts that he does on the wind.

Sure, Foley, all those sources, including those in the military close to the action, are all mitaken, or are lying, and we should not believe them. Instead, we should put our trust in Foley who makee his iving concocting facts to make things look diffferently than they are.

Fat Chance, Kevin.

4,287 is the actual figure, Mr. Foley. Through careful observation, however, a reasonable man would note that not one of those men was abandoned by his chain of command intentionally, because they were a few weeks away from an election.

It might also be noted that the trillion dollar pricetag over ten years is 1/16th of the deficit president Obama has racked up in just four years.
