D.A. King who promised to ignore me, seems instead to have become fixated on yours truly. Should I be honored, threatened or just amused? I do appreciate the extra readers!
Let's take it from the top. Some weeks ago, I invited Mr. King to elevate the immigration debate and refrain from using a slur many Hispanic and Latinos find offensive to describe undocumented immigrants. I thought he might be a reasonable fellow, open to constructive criticism politely delivered.
My bad.
Mr. King is a bully with a lot to say, but a man of scant substance. While he blusters on about the evils of undocumented immigrants, the parade is passing him by. America is moving on in search of reasonable and humane solutions to the immigration problem while Mr. King shrieks "stop!".
First, the Georgia State Legislature failed to pass SB 458 in its last session. Then the president announced some 800,000 young undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children may stay here legally. Finally, the Supreme Court struck down most of Arizona's draconian SB 1070 except the "show me your paper provisions" that so enrages Hispanics and Latinos.
Mr. King's approach has backfired big time with the political pay-off undeniably accruing to Democrats. The crucial Hispanic-Latino voting block, once solidly GOP until the anti-immigrant dead enders like Mr. King, Jan Brewer and Joe Arpiao shooed them off, now supports President Obama over Mitt Romney by wide margins.
Mr. King, you have my sympathies, sir. It must be terribly frustrating to see your crusade become irrelevant.
Kevin Foley - you should stick with speading the gunk given to you by the Huffington Post "intellectuals." You are forever minor league.
Your asinine and childish infatuation with yourself is a source of amusement to most adults.
You have the abiiity to express ideas well. Hopefully, one of these days, you will have an idea worth expressing. In the meantime, no matter how well you express rubbish, it still comes out rubbish.
So you're saying 11-12 million undocumented immigrants are to blame for the economy? That's beyond absurd.
We've had the Bush tax cuts in place for so-called "job creators" for more than a decade. The GOP runs the House of Representatives. Where are the jobs?
Kevin Foley just told you he is happy that mass immigration sabotages the interests of US Citizens.
He figures that his party can politically profit from the last 25 years of government malfeasance and dereliction duty to enforce the borders.
How does mass immigration benefit the US Citizenry beleaguered by high unemployment, stagnant wages and shrinking middle class?
It doesn't.
But, it sure helps the 1% by keeping downward pressure on wages as the supply of labor far outweighs demand.
And, it benefits partisan media hacks like Kevin Foley who harbors malevolence against US Citizens.
Kevin. The last thing you should bring up is "substance". Oh and Kevin: Allen West is still a proud black American.hahahahahahaha
Kev, this all may be tongue and cheek material for you now. However, take it from a native Los Anglean who has watched illegal aliens (yep, I said it again) virtually nuke L.A. When their numbers are sufficient in your neck of the woods, even "progressive" "thinkers" such as yourself will consider ways in which you may make them part company....with extreme prejudice.
Of course, before it gets that bad, you could do something novel like stand ?for the rule of law and against The Invasion of the U.S. Wild, huh
How's that Kevey? Tell us all oh brilliant one:
just exactly WHEN was the Hispanic vote solidly GOP? And where? If the Treason Lobby expects to gain any ground, they are going to have to find better habitual liars that you. You are obsolete!
By the way LIC, how many illegal aliens do you employ?
King and the GOP have been barking at the moon that the undocumented immigrants don't pay taxes. The Dream Act and President Obama's recent decisions are designed exactly with that in mind. The 800,000 people who would be impacted by The Dream Act would then become taxpayers.
Which way do they want it? When the GOP and King tire of being ignorant to a very logical and inexpensive idea, will then they switch gears to advancing the war on women?
If President Obama came out in favor of oxygen, the GOP would suffocate.
