Ready for some excitement? Go to Six Flags Over Georgia this weekend. The park officially opened for the season last weekend.

Since 1967, Six Flags has provided family entertainment by focusing on safety, security, and superior service. “We really pride ourselves on Southern hospitality and greeting everyone with a smile and making them feel like when they enter our gates they are home. We want this to feel like they’re home and that they’re welcome every single day,” said Dale Kaetzel, park president of Six Flags Atlanta Properties that includes Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags Whitewater.

He has been in the theme park, entertainment and sports industry for 36 years.

“Our variety of coasters balanced with family attractions like Dahlonega Mine Train and Monster Mansion just make this a special experience that spans the generations,” Kaetzel said.

Six Flags Over Georgia has over 75 rides, shows and attractions including 11 roller coasters that sits on 200 acres of land adjacent to the Chattahoochee River.

Six Flags keeps getting better with new attractions.

“We’re undergoing our largest expansion in our park’s 47 year history by adding Hurricane Harbor, a full-size water park featuring an 800,000 gallon wave pool and two incredible slide complexes along with every creature comfort you can imagine. Our guests told us that they wanted more water and more opportunity to relax. It will balance out the entire park experience and add a whole new life to our incredible collection of roller coasters and other family attractions,” he said.

Hurricane Harbor opens Memorial Day weekend.

Six Flags not only attracts Cobb County citizens but people from all over.

“The investment Six Flags is making in Cobb County is the largest investment in any Six Flags Park in 2014. We are committed to making a difference here in anything we do, both by opening a park and showing people a great time each day, and by being an active, engaged member of the community. We take great pride in that,” Kaetzel said.
