Mrs. Mary Belle McDonald Shultheiss, age 72, of Marietta, Georgia passed on Monday, July 21, 2014. She was born on November 28, 1941 in Stoddard County, Missouri to Martha Christian McDonald and Loyd McDonald and survived by her husband Ronald Shultheiss of Marietta, Georgia, son and daughter in law Steven and Gina Shultheiss of McDonough, Georgia, brother and sister in law Lee and Bea McDonald of Lucerne, Michigan, and sister Sharon McDonald Hollander (Stuart) of Temecula, California, 3 grand-children, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Belle graduated Bloomfield High School in Bloomfield, Missouri and Business College in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She married her husband Ron on September 18, 1965. She worked in the business world for a number of years before finding her true calling as a pre-school teacher. She worked for 3 different pre-schools for 25 years, working with children from age 2 to age 5. She adored every one of her students and they adored her.  Mary enjoyed outdoor activities, nature, animal rescue, and especially spending time with her grandchildren, Noel, Sage and Miles.  Mary took American Sign Language classes for years and developed a very close relationship with her classmates. She sang with the Guys and Dolls choral group at the East Cobb Senior Center and was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Marietta, Georgia.  A celebration of Mary Belle’s life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 11:00 am at Faith Lutheran Church, 2111 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, Georgia 30068. The family will receive friends before the service at 10:00 am in the sanctuary.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary Belle’s memory to Faith Lutheran Church to be used for mission outreach projects by the Senior High School youth.   Condolences can be left at  Georgia Funeral Care & Cremation Services is proudly serving this family.  (678) 574-3016.
