EDITOR’S NOTE: Below is a selection of the responses from readers of in reaction to recent MDJ stories.

Lockheed holds off on sending layoff notices before elections …

Former LMEmp — Welcome to National Socialism.

May-Retta Survivor — I wonder just how many of those who will be laid off voted for Prezzdent Obama and believed his lies. Serves them right!

Sky Blue — I am sorry you feel that way. It doesn’t matter who they voted for it is terrible to say that serves them right. What a selfish remark, if you don’t know what it is like to be without money, you would have never said something like that.

May-Retta Survivor — @Sky Blue: No apologies here ... just the facts.

CobbCoGuy — Denise Rakestraw, President of Local 709 in Marietta said, “I don’t know for sure whether it is politically motivated or not, but it sure seems that way.” You’re kidding, right? What does your membership think?

D.G. — The Obama administration is strong-arming companies doing business with the federal government into holding off layoff notices until after the election. Does anyone with ethics see how wrong this is? This kind of tactic is typical Chicago style politics but also could be seen as something you would expect from a third-world dictator. Vote this corrupt clown out of office, because it will only get worse in a 2nd term! God help us!

Lawless president — So now Lockheed Martin has to do exactly as Obama wishes so that the election won’t be affected. This is just another dishonest action by our president who does not, in any way, deserve a second term. And what about the workers who will be affected by all of this? Oh, I forgot! If it comes down to them or Obama, they lose!

Sky Blue — I can’t understand how a company could go along with this. It is the employees that are being hurt, we should all be so lucky to have the money the people in the White House have, even if he is not elected he will be paid for the rest of his life. It has all been a lie from the get-go, he said that the first thing that would go if he got elected was the lobbyists. They are still here.

From Texas — The good thing about this is if you’re on the bubble you won’t know what hit you but most likely later you’ll figure out you’ve been “Obamaed”!

Convicted killer Daker gets maximum sentence, strong words from judge …

Luek — I am always leary of people who label others as cowards and this judge did from the bench because he wouldn’t sign a legal paper sending him to prison. I just bet Judge (Mary) Staley would not come down from her perch and take off her black sheet and say that to his face on equal terms. Daker may or may not be guilty but no one deserves to be humiliated like that by a so-called impartial judge.

Humiliated? — Humiliated?! Luek, are you as big a nut job as Dakar?! Do you think that little 5-year old was “humiliated” every time the blade of the knife broke through his skin at the hands of that despicable animal?! You make me sick! Dakar is a coward of epic proportions, and anyone who supports him or even remotely thinks he deserves “compassion” is pond scum.

Deserving — Daker deserves everything that’s coming to him. I hope this convicted stalker, child stabbing, murderer has a tough time in prison.

Southern Patriot — Luek, would you feel as you do if you had seen your mother murdered and had been stabbed repeatedly by her killer? It’s so easy to be “magnanimous” while safely seated at your computer.
