Readers opine about mixed and contradictory poll results in the presidential race:

What Polls: It is no secret that the inside chatter at Rasmussen and Gallup is that people being polled are not answering truthfully, for many reasons. Thus, poll results are all over the map. What is clear is the desperate Democrat strategy of an issue du jour. Obama has no positive record to run on, only a negative dismal economic record and a health care law that remains unpopular with 75% of Americans. Thus, the Democrats continue to throw everything at the wall and see if anything sticks. Basically, they are doing anything to distract voters from Obama’s dismal economic record. 8.2% unemployment does not even include millions of Americans who have given up looking for work. Democrats are taking a huge risk in pandering to their fractured base. They are not only alienating many in their base, but they are completely turning off average swing voter Americans. Blacks are Obama’s most reliable base, and yet, many blacks are alienated by Obama’s stand on gays and abortion. If 15% of blacks stay home, or worse yet, vote Romney, it will spell a complete disaster for Obama. Democrats are getting desperate, so look for even more ridiculous absurd issues du jour thrown at Romney, all of which can only hurt Obama and help Romney.

Anonymous: Release the returns Mr. Romney, what are you hiding? As for Obama he saved us from a Republican caused DEPRESSION! That’s all we need to know.

Southernbychoice: And if Romney released 5 more years of tax returns, they will then want 10 years, just to keep things stirred up and off the record of failure by this president. Of course, obama has 50% of the voters supporting him - I am sure this is the 50% that are living off the rest of us working stiffs through their welfare, food cards, rent subsidies, medicaid, free lunches all around, and on and on. When you get almost 50% of the total population dependent on the government the idea of free and fair elections is gone. Are they going to vote for a person/party who believes they should go to work and not be a drain on those who do work? No, of course not, hence the reason for the big push on putting more on food stamps, extending unemployment benefits to an unheard of level, etc. And don’t tell me about social security and medicare being included - those getting these benefits paid for them - and many are still paying for them - all of their working lives. It is NOT a freebie from the good heart of the government like all of this other junk is, which was originally set up as a temporary safety net, not as a way of life for generations.

Hopium and Change: Give us the JOBS you promised us Mr. President Obama. And quit the childish blaming of Bush for your failures. Grow up President Obama!
