Since when is an elected official (Obama) being stubborn when he is doing what the majority of the people want done? I was under the impression that this was how a democracy was supposed to work.
The latest polls show that 60 percent of Americans favor raising taxes on the wealthy and only 37 percent oppose doing so. On raising the Medicare eligibility age from 65 to 67 the numbers are even more impressive with 67 percent opposed.
The Republican Party needs to come to terms with the fact that catering to the desires of the rich and the religious right is not how a democracy is supposed to work. The majority of a minority is not what is intended to rule our nation.

Apparently, there are plenty of other useful idiots who believe this sort of program is infinitely sustainable and will support obama along with you, Schick
See the letter below yours in the paper.
Source please? for the poll number you are quoting? Your numbers don't even come close to matching Gallup and Real Clear Politics, both of which are nonpartisan.
As others posted, we are not a democracy, we are a democratic republic. An example of democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for supper!
