A Long County judge Thursday denied bond for 29-year-old Heather Salmon, who is charged with murder along with her husband and two other Army soldiers in the December 2011 slayings of Michael Roark and his teenage girlfriend, Tiffany York.
Roark had been a member of the soldiers’ Fort Stewart unit. Prosecutors say he and York were killed to protect the group.
Salmon pleaded not guilty in court. Prosecutor Isabel Pauley says Salmon was recorded saying she wanted her children to attend college before they joined the militia.
