A recent issue of the MDJ included a letter to the editor whose author was upset with sheriffs who chose not to violate our nation’s Constitution. I would call to the attention of all the example of our president and his attorney general. They ignore and refuse to enforce laws they find inconvenient, such as the Defense of Marriage act, several of our laws on immigration, our law that protects voters at the polls (see the New Black Panthers case), and other such instances.
We have a much larger problem than local law enforcement officials who understand our Constitution and respect it.

A banner day today. Americans writing to our local paper in support of our officials who support our rule of law. I hope to read many more. There are too many Americans out of work and too many people who are here illegally holding jobs our citizens would like to have.
