Local police have charged a Powder Springs man in connection with a fatal crash that happened last Wednesday.
The Marietta Police Department S.T.E.P. Unit has charged 21-year-old Chevelle Gore with failure to yield while turning left and second-degree vehicular homicide.
Gore was driving his 2001 Mazda Millenia north on Cobb Parkway around 10:35 p.m. and attempting to turn left onto White Avenue, when he reportedly hit the rider of a 1980 Harley Davidson motorcycle who was traveling southbound on Cobb Parkway.
The biker, Michael A. Michael, 56, of Kennesaw, was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta where he was pronounced dead as a result of injuries.
