From staff reports

Police say two people were robbed at gunpoint Wednesday while trying to buy a car they saw advertised on Craigslist.

According to Cobb police investigators, the two victims placed an ad on Craigslist about wanting to buy a car for cash.

Two men reportedly contacted them about having a car and they agreed on a location, which later was discovered as being an abandoned home on Copperbend Court in Austell, around 10 p.m.

When the victims arrived, two armed men approached them and demanded money, the news release states. “After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the perpetrators fled from the scene on foot toward Six Flags Parkway.”

The two suspects are described as both being around 5 foot 10 inches with a thin build and being in their 20s, and were wearing dark hooded sweaters and dark pants. One suspect had a “low haircut” and was carrying a semi-automatic handgun. The second had dreadlocks, possibly shoulder length or slightly shorter.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (770) 499-3945.

To whomever approves our comments: I made a comment on this story on thursdat, but, I see that it didn't make it into print. Why is that? Was it because I mentioned the word "black" referring to race? If so, just what is the correct way to speak of the different races? Or are we not even allowed to do that? What happened to freedom of speech here in America?
