Semir Balukovic, of Smyrna, was arrested and charged Jan. 14 with aggravated battery after police say he beat a man in the face and chest, causing his left eye to swell shut.

A warrant stated after beating the man, Balukovic called the police and said the man had robbed him of $160 and then threw a brick at the man’s 1995 white Nissan truck as the man attempted to flee.

Balukovic was arrested and held in a Cobb jail on a $15,000 bond, a warrant read.
