A Marietta man is in custody after he allegedly pulled a gun on the campus of Southern Polytechnic State University.

Reginald Ira Hardimon has been charged with felony aggravated assault after making threats and pointing a gun at a victim around 1 a.m. Saturday on the campus. According to an arrest warrant, Hardimon was carrying a concealed 9mm handgun in his back pocket, which he loaded and pointed at the victim.

Hardimon also is accused of running from a Southern Polytechnic police officer and attempting to hide the gun in a drainage ditch on the campus.

He is also charged with felony tampering with evidence, felony carrying weapons within a school safety zone, misdemeanor obstruction and misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon.

Hardimon is being held in Cobb County Jail on a $25,000 bond.

Good job to the SPSU cops!

Was Reginald a student of the University or have the local thugs picked up on the thug strategy down at Georgia Tech and GSU?

If Reginald is not an SPSU student, and is eventually found guilty of these crimes he is alleged to have committed, could we perhaps visibly shackle him into a glass Popemobile-style display vehicle and then drive him around the local apartments every day as a public example to all those contemplating similar crimes?
