Police say a Mableton man died Thursday after crashing his Honda into a Chevrolet driven by a Douglasville man Sunday.

James Morris, 71, of Mableton was going northbound on Brookwood Drive when for unknown reasons he drove his brown 1990 Honda Accord into the southbound lanes and collided with a 1998 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck driven by Ignacio Marquez, 41, of Douglasville at 11:51 a.m. Sunday.

Morris was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital and pronounced dead Thursday, said Cobb Police Sgt. Dana Pierce.

Marquez was treated and released from the scene.

The wreck remains under investigation.
