One killed, seven hurt in Columbus bar shootings

COLUMBUS — Police in Columbus are investigating two shootings at a crowded bar that left a 24-year-old man dead and seven other people injured.

WTVM-TV reports Charles Foster Jr. of Columbus was fatally shot in his chest during an altercation inside Majestic Sports Bar around 2:15 a.m. Officials say between 12 and 15 shots were fired in the bar. Police say four other people were hospitalized with injuries.

Shortly after that incident, a gunman fired at two people sitting inside a car in the club’s parking lot. Police say the victims have been treated and released, and additional information on their ages and genders was not immediately available.

Police are searching for more information on the suspects in both shootings.
