Active adult home builder Windsong Properties, which has Bel-Aire - a 55-plus active adult community in Powder Springs, announced it has named Gay-Lynn Turner as its newest sales agent.
Raised in Cobb County, Turner developed a passion for real estate while working with her father's commercial land sales business during her college years. After earning a bachelor of arts degree in Journalism from Georgia State University, she acquired her Georgia Real Estate license and began selling new and resale homes for Northside Realty/Coldwell Banker.
A move to North Carolina allowed Turner to work with Merrill Lynch Relocation, where she was responsible for corporate accounts in the Research Triangle of North Carolina. She is also a licensed broker in North Carolina. She later returned to new home sales with D.R. Horton where she was a Top Producer from 2005-2009.
Sterling names new principals
John Graham and Dick Naylor have both joined Sterling Risk Advisors, 1640 Powers Ferry Road Southeast in Marietta, as principals.
Both men bring more than 40 years of expertise to the firm. Graham's experience being in risk management, property and casualty insurance and Naylor's experience being in the surety bond business. In their new roles, they will continue to focus on the construction industry, providing solutions and consulting services as a client advocate.
Previously, both men were with the Graham-Naylor Agency, which merged with Sterling Risk Advisors in September 2013. Graham and Naylor co-founded the agency in 1975 and built a successful, respected independent insurance and surety bonding agency with locations in Marietta and Columbus.
Local joins Montage exec. team
Patricia Hughes of Marietta has joined Montage, a provider of purpose-built video interviewing solutions to the Global 5000, as vice president of Strategic Alliances. In this role, she will be responsible for all partnership strategy, pursuit, enablement and management for RPO, global staffing, technology and referral partners.
Hughes brings more than 20 years of business and partner development experience in the human capital industry. During her career, she has worked with AT&T, GlaxoSmithKline, Northrop Grumman, McKesson, ACS and General Dynamics.
Before joining Montage, she was the director of Strategic Alliances at KnowledgeAdvisors, a talent analytics technology and consulting services provider. In a prior role, she was a global business development executive at SkillSoft Corp., where she delivered results for strategic international clients.
EarthCon Consultants announces new hire
EarthCon's Southeastern Operations Leader/Principal Engineer Sherri Harvey, P.E., announced the addition of Kristen L. Ritter Rivera, P.G., to EarthCon Consultants, Inc., 1800 West Oak Parkway, Building 100, Suite 100 in Marietta.
In her new role as a project geologist, she will help clients address a wide range of environmental issues. EarthCon's 160-plus engineers, geologists, scientists, site managers and technicians operate out of 30-plus locations across North America. EarthCon manages projects across the globe for industrial, commercial and public sector clients.

Indian Hills Country Club Supports Wounded Warriors Across the Country
Indian Hills, the east Cobb-based golf and country club, hosted a Pro-Member Tournament benefitting wounded warriors all over the country to thank them for their services on Oct. 24. Proceeds went to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
The Wounded Warrior Tournament will become an annual tradition for Indian Hills Country Club. Eighty people participated in this honorable tournament to support and raise money for wounded warriors.
"It's important to us that we show our appreciation to these men and women for risking their lives for us every day and the participants have a great time while they are here," says Lance Cantrell, director of Golf at Indian Hills Country Club. Indian Hills Country Club is a family-oriented private club located in east Cobb County.
The club features 27 holes of golf, extensive practice facilities, eight tennis courts, three swimming pools, a variety of junior programs, and is open seven days a week.
