Gas South receives IMPACT Award

Gas South, a natural gas provider headquartered at 3625 Cumberland Blvd. Southeast, Suite 1500 in the Cumberland area, received the 2013 Skills-Based Project IMPACT Award from the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta.

Gas South was recognized for its work with the United Way of Greater Atlanta. The company helped the nonprofit organization improve its knowledge of its donor base through a third-party data analysis. Gas South also expanded United Way's database to include extensive information on donors - demographics, lifestyle and socioeconomic data, media preferences - before the organization initiated a targeted marketing campaign based on this information.

The Skills-Based Project IMPACT Award, presented at the CVC's 16th annual IMPACT Award ceremony Sept. 19, recognizes a volunteer project that has been completed within one year and has achieved significant measurable results.

Gas South's project helped to increase United Way's revenue by more than 47 percent among lapsed donors and secured $17,000 in additional revenue via a direct mail campaign. Gas South's donated services are valued at $25,000.
