The Marietta Police Department Detective Division is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who went into the Walgreens off South Marietta Parkway around 12:30 a.m. Friday and robbed the store at gunpoint.
According to a release from Marietta Police, an unknown, light-skinned, black man, went into the store, pulled out a handgun in front of the store clerk and took “several” cartons of cigarettes and an “undisclosed” amount of money before leaving the store on foot and walking southbound toward South Marietta Parkway.
“The suspect is to be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached,” the release states.
