Kennesaw State University’s College of Continuing and Professional Education will hold a free Career Training Expo to showcase its professional certificate programs Jan. 17 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at KSU Center, 3333 Busbee Drive, Kennesaw.
The College has more than 40 professional certificate programs with instruction offered on site at KSU Center or through online classes. At the Expo, general information will be available and individual sessions will take place to highlight the College’s major programs. Individual sessions allow prospective students to ask questions of program managers, instructors and even former students about the certificate programs. In addition, special sessions on financial aid are held throughout the evening.
A variety of areas will be highlighted at the Expo, including Administrative Professional, Bookkeeper Professional, Certified Nursing Assistant, Culinary Apprenticeship, Human Resources, Languages, Medical Billing and Coding, Medical Interpreter, Medical Office Assistant, Meeting & Event Management, MS Office, Paralegal, Personal Trainer, Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy and EKG Technician, and Professional Development in Gerontology.
Jay Litton, founder of The LittonGroup, will lead a free class titled “The Wow! Interview.” Litton has more than 30 years in the sales industry and leads one of the largest job networking groups in the Southeast, according to littongroup.com.
Attendees can also receive a 5 percent discount on a future class (restrictions apply). Those who enroll for class during the Expo will receive a special student gift pack. All participants will have a chance to win an iPad2.
