Kennesaw Mountain Park to host free lecture Saturday

Michael Shaffer, assistant director with Kennesaw State University’s Civil War Center, will deliver a lecture at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.

The lecture is titled “The Atlanta Campaign,” and admission is free.

The Cobb Library Foundation will have its Booked for Lunch author series today at 11 a.m. at The Georgian Club.

Today’s luncheon will feature acclaimed children’s book illustrator R. Gregory Christie.

Christie will be presenting a slideshow of his artwork, offering books for sale and signing autographs. Tickets are $25 per person and are available at www.cobblibraryfoundation.org.
