“It’s touted as the world’s largest inflatable water slide,” said James Albright, director of Parks, Recreation and Community Resources.
The Acworth Slide, in its third season of operation, is 36 feet high and 175 feet long. The 36-foot high side can be seen from across the lake.
The slide is great fun in the sun.
“People enjoy it, especially in the summertime. It’s an opportunity for families to come out and have fun at the park,” he said.
The slide is one more fun thing to do while at the park. “We were looking for something different and innovative, to add to our park,” he said.
Dallas Landing Park is a day use area.
“It’s got a beach and picnic facility. It gives another amenity for people to enjoy when they’re at the park,” Albright said.
Season passes are available as well as daily rates. Group rates are also available. For more information such as height requirements, visit acworthslide.com, Facebook and Twitter. There is also a $5 parking fee for the park.
The summer schedule through Aug. 3 is Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, Sunday, holidays and special events are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Acworth Slide is at 5120 Allatoona Drive, Acworth at Dallas Landing Park.
