Marie Turner Huck 1927 – 2013; Marie Turner Huck, 85, died, Sept. 10, following a lengthy and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Despite it all, she never lost her sense of humor. Her life was filled with lots of laughs with her family and friends. She was an accomplished artist who studied painting, illustration and sculpting at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Fla., Kennesaw State University and the Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She leaves her husband, Eugene R. Huck, after 64 years of marriage. Through the years they have loved and enjoyed their children and eight grandchildren. Sons are Jon Huck, and wife Karen, of Kennesaw, and Ben Huck, and wife Jeanne, of Marietta. Daughters are Susan Schoolfield, and husband Bill, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Julie Lawson and husband Wallace, of Ila, Ga. Marie believed in treating people equally and well. She was a volunteer for League of Women Voters and Americorps VISTA.
